Who is responsible for your data

What we collect

• Details you give us when you request a booking: your name, email address, WhatsApp number, travel dates, flight numbers, hotel or address, number of passengers and any notes.
• Messages you send us on WhatsApp or by email.
• Payment is handled by Yoco. We do not see or store your full card number.
• If you accept cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads record how you use this site. If you reject them, they are not loaded.

How we use it

• To prepare, confirm and carry out your booking, and to contact you about it.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
• With your consent, to measure our advertising and improve the site.

Who we share it with

• Your driver receives your name, phone number and pickup details.
• Service providers who process data for us: Cloudflare (website hosting), Resend (sending booking emails), Google Workspace (email), WhatsApp (messages), Yoco (card payments) and, only with your consent, Google Analytics and Google Ads.
• Some of these providers process data outside South Africa. We use them only where they protect personal information to a standard comparable to South African law.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep records of completed bookings for 5 years, as South African tax law requires. We delete booking requests that do not go ahead after 24 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by writing to info@samatransportation.co.za. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa, or, if you live in the UK, to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and similar technologies

• Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies are set only if you click Accept on the cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the page.
• Your browser's local storage remembers your currency and your cookie choice. This information stays on your device.
